...... read more

Fuel shortage due to Raya traffic, supply to normalise by May 9, says PDAM

The Star - Tuesday, May 8th, 2022: PETALING JAYA: The shortage of petrol is likely due to refilling issues caused by massive jams on the highway, says the Malaysian Petrol Dealers Association (PDAM).

"The issue isn't that there isn't enough petrol in the country because there is enough but it's getting it from the depot to the stations along the highways that's the problem.

"A variety of factors are affecting this, with the large amount of fuel purchased during the Raya holidays being the main one.

"You can see the horrible traffic jams and everybody is traveling. That shows you that sales would be extraordinary and because of that the stations are drying up faster but there are issues getting refills on time," said PDAM president Datuk Khairul Annuar Abdul Aziz ...... read more

PETROL dealers are in the dark over the issue of fuel ceiling price which has been steadily increasing since mid-November 2020.

The Malaysian Reserve - Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021:

Without a ceiling price, petrol station operators’ cashflow will remain tight as they will have to buy fuel at higher prices, making the cost of holding stocks more expensive, said the Petrol Dealer Association of Malaysia (PDAM).

Its president Datuk Khairul Annuar Abdul Aziz said currently, station owners have yet to recover their losses from the previous enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in March 2020.

The stay-at-home orders, he said, have swiped at least 70% of their business revenues.

“Sales dropped by 70% when the MCO was called, but dealers managed to slowly recover in October last year, with sales picking up to about 80% compared to the pre-MCO period.

“So, now that the fuel price is going up, we need to know if the ceiling price is in place or has been revoked.

“If there is no ceiling price, dealers will hold expensive stock while demand is again affected in MCO 2.0,” Khairul Annuar told The Malaysian Reserve (TMR) ...... read more

Tambah baik mekanisme petrol bersubsidi, banteras penyeludupan

Perluasan PSP Mantapkan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Negara

Bernama - Isnin, 9 Dis 2019: KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- Kuasa beli kelompok berpendapatan sederhana (M40) dijangka meningkat apabila mereka turut menerima faedah Program Subsidi Petrol (PSP) yang sekaligus mampu merancakkan pertumbuhan ekonomi negara.
